D'Argo and Shere Khan started
out on a diet of Bil-Jac premium dog food, as recommended by their
breeders.
After a few months, they were weened off Bil-Jac and on to VeRUS,
another INCREDIBLE pet food company that truly loves and cares about
animal wellbeing. Egypt was, of course, fed VeRUS as well.
About twice a week they would get a special mix of food.
Special Mix:
Collard Greens -
Leaves ripped up. Stalks given to them while preparing the meal
Squash - Sliced
Zucchini - Sliced
Carrots - Sliced
Oats - Quaker Oats
or an off-brand - Blended | Cheerios or Toasted Oats cereal - Poured
into the bowls
White Rice - Real
white rice, NOT minute rice! - Poured into the bowls
Eggs - Including the
shell finely blended like sand
Molasses - Blended
Flax Seeds - Mixed
in the bowls *I
recently found out that these should be grounded so that they do not
just pass through the system*
GNC Glucosamine -
Usually the peanut butter flavor - Mixed in the bowls or fed directly
Optional: Boiled Chicken
Breast - Cut into cubes
*This
would either replace a portion of the regular food or fully substitute
one meal, depending on what felt right.*
